Baba Darya was the fourth series produced by Xagros Film Company, which was 2D and directed by Mahbod Bazar Afshan.
Hormozgan TV and Television commissioned this animation in twenty-six episodes.
Its topic was to introduce the natural attractions of this province and preserve the environment.
In this episode of the Baba Darya animated series, Dara, the playful character of the story, becomes a mermaid and is caught by her own uncle to understand more the bitterness of sea creature abuse and environmental destruction.
Although today we see mermaid stories mostly in Hollywood movies, maybe few people know about the ancient roots of these stories in the rich literature of southern Iranian culture.

The character Baba Darya, the main character of the animated series Baba Darya, is taken from the ancient legends of Hormozgan province.
He is a strange creature and an environmentalist.
Wherever there is damage to the environment, his head will magically be found.
