Dashte Babooneh

The animation series “Dasht Babooneh” was produced by Xagros Film Company in 1988 by order of Fars Center TV and Radio.
At that time, there was no special software for producing 2D animation, and this series was produced with a creative method in 3D software but with a 2D appearance.
This technique was used for the first time eight years ago for the animation of what remained in the Xagros film team, and later, many animations, such as Shekarestan and others, used the same method.

The outline of the Dasht Babooneh series was proposed during a quasi-startup event in 1986 at Xagros Film Company.
At that time, when the concept of startups had not yet entered Iran, a number of students from the director of Xagros Film Company were called to turn their ideas into an acceptable plan for radio and television.
This method happened many times in Xagros Film Company and over the years it created jobs for dozens of people and created a turnover of nearly seven-tenths of a million dollars.

Dasht Baboone series is the story of lovely insects that live well in a green meadow.
But the strong wind creates many adventures for them.

The design and direction of the Dasht Babooneh animation series were done by Mr. Mahbod Bazar Afshan, one of the most proud animation directors in Iran.
He started his career in 1976 in Fars Central Radio and Television, and in 1987 he joined Xagros Film Company and directed in this company until six years later before immigrating to America.
